At De Virtu’ozo Academy of Music, our Music Theory Class is designed to give students the knowledge they need to truly understand and communicate music. Whether you’re learning an instrument, composing, or preparing for exams, music theory provides the foundation that ties it all together.
In this class, students explore essential topics such as notes, scales, intervals, chords, key signatures, rhythm, and harmony. We also cover musical terms, notations, and score reading. These skills not only enhance playing ability but also prepare students for formal music assessments like ABRSM and Trinity theory exams.
Our lessons are structured yet interactive, with exercises, games, and written practice that make even complex topics easy to grasp. With a strong understanding of theory, students gain more confidence in their musical decisions—whether they’re improvising, composing, or performing.
